How do I travel from Scape to University of Queensland?
Traveling from various Scape buildings in Brisbane to the University of Queensland (UQ) is convenient, offering multiple transportation options depending on your location. Here’s a detailed guide to help you navigate from each Scape location to UQ’s St Lucia campus.
From Scape Merivale:
Best Bus Route: Begin with a 5-minute walk to South Bank busway station. Catch the line 66 bus towards RBWH-UQ loop for a 7-minute journey, alighting at UQ Lakes station. From here, it’s a 13-minute walk to your destination in St Lucia, QLD 4072, Australia.
Best Ferry Route: A 10-minute walk gets you to the South Bank ferry terminal. Board the ferry on line UQSL, heading towards University of Qld for an 18-minute ride. Disembark at Guyatt Park and walk for another 9 minutes to reach UQ.
From Scape Tribune:
Best Bus Route: Only a 2-minute walk is needed to reach South Bank busway station. Take the line 66 bus towards RBWH-UQ loop. After 7 minutes, exit at UQ Lakes station and walk for 13 minutes to the university.
From Scape South Bank:
Best Bus Route: Walk for 3 minutes to South Bank busway station and hop on the line 66 bus, directed towards RBWH-UQ loop. Travel for 7 minutes, get off at UQ Lakes station, and then undertake a 13-minute walk to UQ.
From Scape Regent:
Best Bus Route: Start with an 11-minute walk to PA Hospital station. Board the line 169 bus towards Eight Mile Plains – UQ loop. After 3 minutes, alight at UQ Lakes station and proceed with a 13-minute walk to reach your destination.
From Scape St Lucia:
Best Bus Route: A brief 3-minute walk to Benson St at Toowong, stop 14, Toowong is required. Take the line 412 bus towards St Lucia South for 5 minutes, exit at Coldridge St at Field Street, stop 23, and from there, it’s only a minute’s walk to UQ.
Best Walk Route: Alternatively, you can enjoy a scenic 25-minute walk directly to the campus.

No, you can still book your accommodation while waiting for confirmation or acceptance/enrolment at UQ, or if you are still waiting for the issue of an Australian student visa by the Australian Government.
