How do I travel from Scape to Griffith University?
Griffith University has two main campuses in Brisbane that are of interest to Scape residents: the South Bank Campus, focusing on Art and Design, and the larger Nathan Campus, catering to a wide range of disciplines.
To Queensland College of Art and Design, Griffith University, South Bank Campus:
- From Scape Merivale, Scape Tribune, and Scape South Bank: The best way to reach the South Bank Campus is on foot, taking between 5 to 10 minutes depending on your starting point.
- From Scape Regent: A short bus ride is your best option. Walk to PA Hospital station (10 mins), take the line 66 bus towards RBWH-UQ loop for 2 minutes, and then walk 7 minutes to the campus.
- From Scape St Lucia: You have two good options, bus or ferry. For the bus, walk to Benson St, catch line 412 towards the city for 16 mins, transfer at Roma Street to line 66, and walk from South Bank station. Alternatively, take a ferry from Regatta towards Northshore Hamilton, disembark at South Bank, and walk 12 minutes.
- From Scape Toowong: Similar to Scape St Lucia, you can either take a ferry from Regatta to South Bank ferry terminal (14 mins) and then walk 12 minutes, or take a bus from Coronation Dr, transferring at Adelaide Street to South Bank.
To Griffith University, Nathan Campus:
- From Scape Merivale, Scape Tribune, and Scape South Bank: The quickest route involves a bus ride from South Bank busway station towards Garden City interchange on either line 120 or 125. The trip takes between 27 to 41 minutes, followed by a short walk to the campus.
- From Scape Regent: Walk to Ipswich Rd at PA Hospital (10 mins), then catch the line 125 bus towards Garden City for 30 minutes. A short walk from the stop gets you to the campus.
- From Scape St Lucia and Scape Toowong: Start with a bus to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre station, then transfer to the line 598 bus towards Garden City interchange. Disembark at Troughton Rd at QEII Hospital and walk to campus. The entire journey includes walking, two bus rides, and takes approximately 35 to 40 minutes.
These routes provide convenient access to Griffith University’s campuses, ensuring that students residing in any Scape building can find a way to get to their classes with ease.
