Do I need to be a student to live at Scape?
Yes, Scape’s student accommodation is purpose built for students and a confirmation of enrolment is required to secure your room.
Do I need to have my enrolment confirmed to book my room?
No, you can still book your accommodation while waiting for confirmation or acceptance/enrolment at University of Melbourne, or if you are still waiting for the issue of an Australian student visa by the Australian Government. Please see our Booking Terms & Conditions for more information on the steps to follow if you are not accepted and need to cancel your booking.
How do I travel from Scape to University of Melbourne?
The University of Melbourne boasts a very central location just north of the heart of Melbourne’s CBD and is an easy walking distance from all Scape buildings. Scape Berkeley 1, Scape Berkeley 2 and Scape Peel are on the university’s doorstep, with just a few minutes walk to get to class.
Scape Queensberry, Scape Carlton and Scape Lincoln College are also very close, with just a short 6 minute walk up Swanston St. Scape Victoria Street and Scape La Trobe are a 15-minute stroll to University of Melbourne, or a 10-minute bus ride on the 402 up Rathdowne St.
If you are staying the centre of the CBD at Scape Franklin, Scape Aurora or any of the nearby Scape properties, it will be a 17-minute walk, 8-minute bike ride or a 10-minute tram ride up Swanston St.
